Pitt Pastels, Create your own way

Hi everybody! I was sitting down blogging and I stumbled upon Sassy Scrappers moodboard.
I loved the contrast of black over everything and remembered I had some new Pitt Pastel pencils I wanted to use.  With a black cardstock as my chalkboard I went to work.
I love the way it works on the paper as it would on real chalk

here I made some use of the yellow and navy

I finished it up with some gold splatters for real and for fake, LOL using Heidi Swapp sprays and MME enamel dots in glitter gold!
Here's the palette

CSI 120, This Boy

Happy Sunday again and second post today!
Last Friday we revealed case No. 120 at CSI
120 This Boy

I loved working this case I used a Gellyplate to create my background painting with a brayer. Then I stamped away. For my scheme I used all colours, for my evidence I used mixed media, gesso, wet medium, raindrop shapes and scribbles. For my testimony I chose to use journal buddies, quite fun actually I used the prompt write 4 things no one knows about you. Well this boy does;nt like to see anyone sad, so he'll make a clown of himself just to change that (it's been going on since he was 2 and found me crying one day, oddly he was such a comfort) so I am glad he is that way. He also has a way with words and is a poet, his rhyming is unparalleled (he discovered that when his Spanish teacher in 7th grade made him write some poetry)now his girlfriend is a lucky girl with all that he writes her!!!! and lastly he recently discovered he is really good at the piano with no lessons so far!

hope to see you play, your

OBW Fruit

Happy Sunday everyone, it's the beginning of a beautiful week and my turn to host the weeks prompt at
Being we are an eclectic group from all over the world I thought it would generate quite a few interesting shots from people around the world as they share their fruit!
Here's one of ours, the "caimito"

Since we have such glorious weather pulpy fruit comes as a second nature, on the side of the road you can find the freshest mangoes and pineapples, even watermelons and scrumptious bananas that are readily available the whole year
being big or small,  fruit markets have such an appeal to me that wherever I travel I just have to go visit one!

Sometimes though we have to wait for fruit to be in season and we are eager for their season to bear fruit
such is the case of caimitos, the wonderful fruit grows on a huge tree with golden leaves to the wind!

they are absolutely delicious

Another fave of mine is the " panapen" or breadfruit, as a matter of fact I planted this tree, years and years ago because I can't wait for summer when it comes in season and I want to eat it in all its savory glory

so be it savory, prickly, hairy, smooth and simply delicious I can't wait to see what you share with us at
Hugs!

All I need

is to be my very best...
A good saying, inspirational, found it on my Rohnna Farrer Designs for digital photos
and I used it to edit a selfie
I am using TCR Heart & Soul Palette #167 using a clothing tag

I totally adore the way the crackle finish worked here!

OBW Transport

Happy Sunday and a Blessed Easter to you!
We have a new prompt to share with you at Our Beautiful World and it is Transport.
Living in an island I can think of a lot of transport ways to share but what better than water transport!
We are surrounded by smaller island all belonging to Puerto Rico some to the East, some to the West and one to the South.  I live in the Eastern part of the island and as such I am blessed with nearby Vieques, Culebra and many beautiul Cays, Gorgeous Palomino and Palominito islands ( featured in Pirates of the Caribbean).
My photo is sitting at the vantage point of the Catamarans bow coming back from Icacos with the sails open to the wind.  In the front you can see Fajardo's lighthouse (Don't miss the first link to see a little video of the lighthouse and it's surroundings!) working non stop since May 2, 1882.
I just came from snorkeling and seeing this, all around me!

Hi!

wasn't it an absolutely glorious day to be at the sea?
That down there is amazing, crystal clear water to swim in!

This next one is a bigger transport, it's the ferry between Puerto Rico and the lesser islands Vieques and Culebra, both paradise on Earth!
and this is the Port of Fajardo with the old US Customs building (in Pink) to greet you!

There are more ports to enjoy I just gave you a glimpse of the smaller ones on my side of the island!
Can't wait to see your share of transport with us this week at

CSI No119 Dream Big

Hi everyone, it's Friday and that means a new case is up for investigation over at CSI.  Recently my son turned 18 and to celebrate we took a catamaran off the island to the nearby cays.

One of the best things about living in the Caribbean is being able to take a quick dip underwater and look at all the marvelous things living there!

I never tire of swimming along with the fish and seeing beauiful purple fans, pink corals stripped fish all around me

For my Scheme I used ALL 5 COLORS
for my evidence I used wood, a globe, a tag, something clear over one of my pics and leaves
for my testimony I journaled on a tag about the fab things you can find underwater!
Here's the case for you to work!
