New CSI case file No.118 Moms

What fun I had with this weeks case at CSI, it is a gorgeous inspiration drawing a bold and sassy chick!

here's some background info on the handmade fringe

for my evidence I made fringe painting watercolor paper , I also did some pen work to add on to my stamp

I used jewels and animal print, white background and hearts

for my testimony I went with an all about me prompt using all the things we as as moms are

this is our fab case this week and the amazing sketch by Em!

OBW eggs

Hi everyone, sorry about not posting this yesterday, we had a cable service problem in our area.

We have a new prompt at OBW and this week it is eggs!

Being so close to Easter it's a fabulous prompt I think!

I am sharing a tiny piece, this was hatched in our Family room by our love bird who we thought was a dude, go figure...

this is Miss M hand, she's the proud mama

so if you celebrate breakfasts, Easter or the everyday do share them with us this week!

it was on April No. 11

Hi everyone it's Friday that means a new palette is unvealed at CSI and it's also April the month my first child was born.  Having a baby is a life changing experience so I have chosen to use the sketch and theme of OUAS

this boy will be 18 years old in a few days, but he wasn't this big or handsome, in fact he weighted 2.4 #'s was premature and spent a whole month on NICU.  He was actually released from the hospital on Sunday May 12, 1996 as a Mother's Day present from the Doctors and nurses of the hospital who thought he was better with me than there.

When I first saw the sketch I thought it would be perfect to use the old and the new, but in the end I chose to put it in an envelope with some notes for him

I also had this great overlay by MME and it reminded me of the days I used to spend in front of his incubator telling me he was going to be big one day...

For  my evidence I used

cogs/gears, circles, metals, ransom style lettering, arrows and numbers

For my testimony I used the random generator word it was hello, so there's the hello to being a new mom!

So here's the journaling

I knew I was strong but nothing prepared for me for this.  Leaving empty handed after delivery was an unspeakable pain because it came from the heart. {as you know there are no remedies to cure that}

I would walk a couple of miles everyday back and forth to the hospital, healing from an emergency C section I wouldn't even flinch.  Because at the end of those long walks you were there waiting for me, hooked up to all kinds of tubes and machines...

At night I couldn't stay with you, they wouldn't allow it , knowing you needed nourishment I would milk myself at the odd hours of the night.  We had no money for  a machine, not even rented, there was no money for another car, there wasn't even a home for you to come to, they were tough times...

Now you turn 18, what a big milestone and how life works.

You are such a good boy 

and you my son

have changed my life!

they hold a fascination to me and to think that depending on what you plant in your pond you can enjoy them 24/7....

CSI 116 Amazing

Hi everyone, a new case is out for you at CSI, wonderful inspiration for you if you are a fan of silhouettes or music.  To me it was the perfect chance to scrap this pics of my son, playing his guitars, and of course the perfect opportunity to use my new Prima stencil..

I brake for Rainbows

Do you? Hi everyone! It's my time to host this week at Our Beautiful World and I have chosen the word rainbow.  This past month we had a long rainy season and we had them all around us.  They are magnificent and remind me of my big wonder as a child.  One time I was helping mom with the water house outside when suddenly I made one, I was in awe!!! They hold magic to my eyes and you can see me going to the side of the road to catch them!

as you can see I was on the road, luckily as a passenger as we had so many opportunities to photograph!

and lastly this one was taken by my BFF Myriam Reus at El Morro in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico

Beautiful Songs

Hi everyone hope you had the luck of the Irish yesterday!!!

As you may know Scrapfriends is now Kreative Koncepts and you know they do 2 challenges, sketch and color so here's my take on their palette # 23

I used a lot of gold, embossed glitter gold and then fuzzy cut on my sea elements,

some gold die cuts by Crate Paper and some inka gold over my background
