My Joy and my Heart's delight!

Hi everyone! another post this week!!!
I was inspired by the colors in CSI's case file this week
it looks so pretty to my eyes
and CC's sketch this week was very lovely so I combined the 2

Using CSI specifications I needed several things besides the 5 colors
for my evidence I used
snowflakes, circular objects, dry embossing
I sanded the bottom of my "snow globe"
I hope you remeber my Luna, sweetheart of mine, guess I am in a snowglobe mode, LOL
She was wearing a Pink bow on Christmas Eve and was quietly resting in one of my cushions.
next evidence:
glitter,doodling/ pen work
I then gave my snowflakes some movement by doodling with a glue pen and adhering silver glitter on top, yum!
For my testimony I chose to work with a prompt from this site
I chose prompt #7. What I want for Christmas this year
You see my DD had never made a Christmas list before, EVER...
So Santa was good to her and gave her the doll of her wishes
"She’s a determined girl who uses her strengths to
turn challenges into triumphs—in the gym and at school"

And the full page!

Thanks so much for visiting!!!

Favorite Tea Room Project

Hi everyone it's Christmas Eve and I wanted to take the time to wish all of you a beautiful Christmas with your loved ones! This week at TSTR they want us to share our favorite project from any of the challenges in 2012
Well this one is my favorite for many reasons, here's my top 5
1.I absolutely love Christmas
2.It's pink
3.I got to decorate a Christmas tree again ;)
4.It was a special present I created for my mom's birthday this year
5. It gave me a ton of inspiration to even create a template.   You see after making it into a card I wanted something more, it could be a canvas for your hall or it could be a hidden box for a present.

PS I also made it into my blog header 'cause I loved it soooo much!

the tree
the box
the full package

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

Joy

youwhooo!!!!
Week #144 - E.T.
Hi everyone it's been a while I know so much has been going one I have neglected the blog for a while.  But I am back from all the recent happenings ready to play and share.  This is so inspiring that I just had to play
I feel this should be my parlor, so pinky, shabby and girly
So I made me a little house, a tiny aqua one, shaded by a sweet pink tree dressed in snow and some more silver glitter and tinsel, hey a girl's gotta dream...
then I nested everything in a gorgeous glass dome
and heres my sweet little snow globe for the TSTR girls!
the house was built out of a set of mini houses by Maya Road
made 3 d with extra chipboard

the joy banner is a Tim Holtz Sizzix die and the alphas are MM
the base is a Maya Road wooden spool painted cream

the glass globe, tinsel and tree are Melissa Frances
This was a Joy to put together
Here's a bit of where I was this past 2 wks:
We had a mother daughter grand time at the big apple!!!
Times Square, Rockettes Christmas Spectacular, Ricky Martin @ Evita!!!
Skating in Central Park, playing at the Big Piano @ FAO and visiting the Empire State Bldg
among other things

Then I had Miss M's modeling graduation where she shined bright like a diamond, as the song says.

She performed as Katy Perry singing California Girls and it was AWESOME!!!

as you can imagine I was beading and sewing non stop for 1 week with mom's help of course.
We got to visit Moods in NYC where we felt like the Project Runway gals and bought the fabrics I used for her final dress.

Thanks for stopping by I missed you

Christmas

Christmas is coming! it's in the air, I can smell it,  I can almost touch it!
I decided to play with the easel cards, it's Linda's challenge over
at CCCB and it's my first one ever!
I enjoyed this very much
I started by cutting one of the new Spellbinders dies
I wanted an empty space to layer a different color underneath.
Inspired by the just neutrals palette over at TSTR

I used a mix of whites, platinum, golds and Kraft

The snowflake was painted with platinum stickles
the sentiment was stamped and handcut

the pearl in the centre is a silver one by Doodlebug
too cute!

I hope like me, you get a little inspired to try something new!

My Family

We had a very special weekend, my aunt turned 80 and her children gave her a wonderful birthday bash.  One of those you are thrilled to go because you know you will spend time with loved ones you haven't seen in a while.
I hope some of her genes rub on me! You can not definately tell her age!!!
She is also my Godmother and the sweetest person you'll ever meet!

The weekend before was mom's birthday and this is one of those rare ones where there's a photo of the whole family.  We had a fabulous lunch with mom in this awesome rest La Colina360 located in my hometown Morovis, PR.  You can see from the north part the Atlantic Ocean and from the south the beautiful mountain region

I used enamel to do my title work and I love the depth and shine it brings

the palette was inspired by The Color Room #138
Picture

A very elegant palette, very classy
I also used Rachael's challenge over at Colorful Creations
to use 2 photos, ribbon, brads/buttons, sewing, matting, distressing
check on all that!!!

And here's a peek of a new one I made of mom with all of us!
Hope you enjoy this wonderful week!

I'll be home for Christmas

It's a beggining of a new week and the challenge over at
CCB is based on my favorite Christmas song  I'll be home for Christmas
and the inspiration photo couldn't be sweeter!!!

It is Violeta's birthday today
last year I handpainted a Christmas ornament for her
This year I decided to build her a sweet little house as a present
Inspired by the photo I used pure whites and soft pinks
shimmer and sparkle mixed away to create
a cozy and shabby little home.

I used Cuttlebugs new embossing folder Christmas Stitches
so sweet like a handmade quilt
with the liquid pearls I painted some pink
and xactoed my windows and doors in shimmery pink cardstock

There's ton of Melissa Frances here, don't you just love the tiny pink tree
it's a mere 1 3/4" tall with the wooden base that I painted Ivory

the roofs were made using glitter cardstock in a
silver color

the tinsel is also Melissa Frances

Full view of the sweet home for Christmas

Merry Christmas

Hi everyone! just checking in to share a little project I made today
for the TSTR.  The theme this week is
'Sweet Shabby Christmas'
and it has the most gorgeous inspiration photo!!!

they are sooo me, I could have these 3 little darlings on my bedside table to wake up every
Christmas morning in a shabby, pastel, sweet mood!
adorable....
So you know how much pink inspires me and if it also need some glitter and shimmer
the happier I am!
I decided to cut the new Spellbinders Christmas tree in a satin pink cardstock
and then trim it like there's no tomorrow.
I also used Tim Holtz banner die to stamp and emboss in silver my Christmas sentiment
I just love how shabby it looks, of course some distress inking makes it stand out.

here's a closer look of how the front opens up!

top view with all the trimmings

Since the final piece of my tree made it so special
I decided to make it into a box.
Using My scoreboard I made a giant matchbox to open from the front.
I used a Melissa Frances tinsel trim for my pull knot.
It's home to a fantastic inspirational book:
"Everyday Comfort"
spiritual reflections for women

The box was made out of shimmer cardstock in pink, layered with glitter cardstock in a silver hue
and then topped with the card base in white.
Now if they made some mercury glass so Icould trim my paper tree...

I hope you have enjoyed my creation
as much as I did creating it!!!

A special bond

Hey everyone it's a new week, at least for me, LOL, with
voting going on in the country we all were free
from work and school.
I hope you made time to vote
this week I am playing with scrapfriendsthey have these amazing sketches
you just have to go and check them out!
Since I found them at Fi's it's only fair I did her color palette challenge at CC!

After using the sketch with the color palette Fi provided
I did all the twist, the photo is matted on canvas
wet mediums used are Dylusions in crushed grape and modeling paste with a Prima mask for the circle.  I also used twine (more fibre) behind the photo wrapped in a circle shape.
The journaling is of course related to the photo and title.

here's the sketch, yummy!
and more details for you to look!

sparkling bling!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!!
