May day

Thank you ladies for picking my project, love your new button too!

May Day is tomorrow and I am sending you flowers... I wish I could ring your doorbell, hang my cone of flowers and start running. This is the next best thing.  So happy May Day tomorrow, this is made for the Kraft Journal, using the new release from Hambly

Here it is hanging, full of crepe flowers little Miss Mercedes made!

Now May is also Mother's Day month, and I know of a couple of moms that would be very happy to get these.   Since I was so inspired with the Kraft and Pink I though
I would enter 2 of my pieces this week at the Kraft Journal and since the girls at CCCB have a Mother May I challenge I will enter my cards and my candy container as well...

I played dress up with this dressform!

CCCB challenge this week is Mother May I, here is a gift for Mother using a recycled box and some scraps.
Here are some LO's that have kept me busy, some of them are from the pictures I shared with you

Every year my daughter's school hosts a kite flying day, I have hoarded my Jenni Bowlin, kite silhoutte girl, rub on for like forever, I think I finally found the perfect spot for it!   It looks great with Fancy Pants Beach Girl!
And now a textural image and then the full LO

I will take a few days

off, in the meantime I will leave you with some inspiration...
I had the privilege of looking at this upclose it is a Brownea grandiceps or Rose of Venezuela in my moms garden

Yesterday we found a plastic bag with a mama coqui  protecting a nest of eggs and babies.  This frog is endemic to our island of Puerto Rico, and the name comes from the sound it makes.  It is incredible how nature will always find a way! and the garden snail shell will give you a clue about the size of this very small frog.

This property is an old sugar plantation in the north side of the island, Hacienda La Esperanza, it is one of those places rich in history that you need to see

this just appened to be on the restaurant we had lunch, they were expecting a wedding party, I just would dream of marrying here!
This is an old bridge in the town of Ciales
Some glimpses of my Puerto Rico for you! Hope you have a great week, I'll be posting soon!

of friends and gates

Well this weeks challenge at CCCB calls for a gate.  Welcoming friends with a pink gate on a gatefold card here's my entry
don't you just love the little chicks peeking in the front of a hand cut gate?
little rabbits to greet you inside...
Today was a glorious day, for the past 4 years we have been going to an annual kite flying day @ Las Croabas beach in Fajardo.  It is organized by my DD school teachers.  Today was just so pretty, you be the judge

The art teacher made an outdoor exhibit of the childrens work , isn't that cool, they were flying in the wind
Here of course is little Miss M with her project
Cobito's close up, ever since the new cat, that is all she sees everywhere, never mind she draws him with a flower in his ear!  Ah creative license...
and who could blame her for going in the water when it was sooooooooooo perfect!

Easter is coming

Such a welcoming week, it means so much to us, plus we get a lot of time with the kids!  This is what you will find right now at my scrap table, such a sight!
Having fun with stamps, inks, markers, she made Audrey's basket

And her mama made this card for the Kraft Journal, ever since I saw the painting on craft I wanted to give it a try.  It is all fuzzy, underneath a blaket of die cut felt.

And here is a LO that had me busy for a while today, I took some photos of Mercedes this weekend that were so precious and I loved the end result.
Girl, Size 6...TCR palette #54  I am totally in love with this BG paper that looks like "moire fabric"
