Solecito

There is a spring fling challenge over at CCCB and since I am in full Easter mode here is a little banner I whipped for my home.  Using canvas,  some Sizzix dies, Spellbinders and some recycled papers.

New baby birdie updates, he is a golden sun color, hence his name, Sol is sun in Spanish.  He is also getting some blue feathers on the tail, very cool!!!
By Friday he had some more feathers so, here he is as of yesterday on this LO. I couldn't resist, after comjng from school Mercedes was wearing yellow and orange and she matched perfectly with the bird!

Have a gorgeous weekend!!!

Our not so little man!

This week was full of surprises, the biggest one was this, my son shaved his head for the cancer cause.  It shows a lot of courage, to say the least when a 15 year old takes a leap like that regardless of vanity.  It makes my heart burst with proudness!!   Then he posted on his facebook wall the photo with a dedication to both of his grandparents, both cancer survivors, you go my boy!!! turning up into such a conscious man, I am P-R-O-U-D of you!

As said in the Tim Holtz tokens he is Unique, Corageous and Genuine!
Have an awesome weekend and Happy St. Patrick's Day!

unique, &

Hola!!!
Much to share today, I've been BUSY, creating that is, and I now have a new responsability as member number 8 of our home's menagerie is in our house!
So here's my first share, the new CSI case, very dramatic palette to work with this week

for the study in contrast and textures and fabric, I hand rolled this felt roses and used fabric Prima leaves, for the metal there is some wire for my beads
all five colors and shades
she is a study in contrast all by herself, she never ceases to amaze me...
and here is the full reveal.

Next is today's sunrise, I seldom get to see how it all begins in the morning it so gives you a sense of well being and you definately get in touch with the wonders God created for us!!!  So many blessings in the everyday!

Here is member # 8, if you know me you know, there are 3 dogs in the house, 1 cat, 2 guinea pigs,1 hamster and it seems we were missing a bird, according to little Miss M who needs to have one of every species, or more....
I'll share more photos as it develops its feathers, who knows what it will look like?
And here is another LO I created with the fabulous Imaginarium chipboard and gorgeous Pink Paislee.  London Market is just delish
I used the new palette at TCR to use the colors
Both of my LO's were done with my own sketches so I hope you enjoy!

Can you spot the gesso with the new mask?

loving all the textures here, layer upon layer of old and new, recycled packaging  and more
Isn't that envelope the cutest!!! one of my fave's from the new CHA from Maya Road
So thank you for visiting a while with me!!!

Hugs

Our Family and some more

This past weekend we were celebrating our anniversary and went island hoping from the main island to Culebra. If you have been coming here for a while you know about this gorgeous tiny island off the eastern coast of Puerto Rico.  It is pristine and oh so turquoise...
I made the following LO for the TCR palette 100, could not work them in color, too blue

my daughter picked up a sea fan, that I misted on the page and then decided to keep it because it was so pretty!

TCR #100 Our Family, weekend getaway
the tiny shell was added with the needle.
Then Monday came and she went to school with a box full of rocks and shells and tons of stories and in the afternoon when I went to pick her up, she gave me this:
a priceless work of art about her weekend happenings and all about the hermit crab she picked up at the beach
I needed to scrap the full thing and today my friend Myriam brought me the new Scrapbooks etc, the April issue has a LO by Stephanie Howell that I decided to scraplift, it had the perfect file for me to put my own treasure.  And so here is my version of Ms. Howell's LO
I used the new Simple Stories collection Fabulous, that is what she is amazing!
Next I decided to play at a new ning site called CSI it is a color challenge with ,as the name implies, a detective inspired theme
this is the color version of my photos at the beggining of my post see the turquoise I told you about?
And then I scraplifted again, using the March issue of Scrapbooks etc again. this time I loved the OFP project of a heart out of spools they had, but I decided to make a scrappy version out of it.
What do you think?
And to finish this oh so long post I leave you to your scraps...I made this tag out of the random pieces I had at my table and love it! maybe I will use it for a page, maybe I will use it in my book, don't know, I just had some fun and wanted to share that no piece is too small to make a great impact!

Enjoy your week!
