Hi everyone it's Christmas Eve and I wanted to take the time to wish all of you a beautiful Christmas with your loved ones!
This week at TSTR they want us to share our favorite project from any of the challenges in 2012
Well this one is my favorite for many reasons, here's my top 5
1.I absolutely love Christmas
2.It's pink
3.I got to decorate a Christmas tree again ;)
4.It was a special present I created for my mom's birthday this year
5. It gave me a ton of inspiration to even create a template. You see after making it into a card I wanted something more, it could be a canvas for your hall or it could be a hidden box for a present.
PS I also made it into my blog header 'cause I loved it soooo much!
Hi everyone it's been a while I know so much has been going one I have neglected the blog for a while. But I am back from all the recent happenings ready to play and share. This is so inspiring that I just had to play
I feel this should be my parlor, so pinky, shabby and girly
So I made me a little house, a tiny aqua one, shaded by a sweet pink tree dressed in snow and some more silver glitter and tinsel, hey a girl's gotta dream...
then I nested everything in a gorgeous glass dome
and heres my sweet little snow globe for the TSTR girls!
the house was built out of a set of mini houses by Maya Road
made 3 d with extra chipboard
the joy banner is a Tim Holtz Sizzix die and the alphas are MM
the base is a Maya Road wooden spool painted cream
the glass globe, tinsel and tree are Melissa Frances
This was a Joy to put together
Here's a bit of where I was this past 2 wks:
We had a mother daughter grand time at the big apple!!!
Times Square, Rockettes Christmas Spectacular, Ricky Martin @ Evita!!!
Skating in Central Park, playing at the Big Piano @ FAO and visiting the Empire State Bldg
among other things
Then I had Miss M's modeling graduation where she shined bright like a diamond, as the song says.
She performed as Katy Perry singing California Girls and it was AWESOME!!!
as you can imagine I was beading and sewing non stop for 1 week with mom's help of course.
We got to visit Moods in NYC where we felt like the Project Runway gals and bought the fabrics I used for her final dress.
We had a very special weekend, my aunt turned 80 and her children gave her a wonderful birthday bash. One of those you are thrilled to go because you know you will spend time with loved ones you haven't seen in a while.
I hope some of her genes rub on me! You can not definately tell her age!!!
She is also my Godmother and the sweetest person you'll ever meet!
The weekend before was mom's birthday and this is one of those rare ones where there's a photo of the whole family. We had a fabulous lunch with mom in this awesome rest La Colina360 located in my hometown Morovis, PR. You can see from the north part the Atlantic Ocean and from the south the beautiful mountain region
I used enamel to do my title work and I love the depth and shine it brings
Hey everyone it's a new week, at least for me, LOL, with
voting going on in the country we all were free
from work and school.
I hope you made time to vote
this week I am playing with scrapfriendsthey have these amazing sketches
you just have to go and check them out!
Since I found them at Fi's it's only fair I did her color palette challenge at CC!
After using the sketch with the color palette Fi provided
I did all the twist, the photo is matted on canvas
wet mediums used are Dylusions in crushed grape and modeling paste with a Prima mask for the circle. I also used twine (more fibre) behind the photo wrapped in a circle shape.
The journaling is of course related to the photo and title.
