Happy Memories

Hey everyone!, second post today, catching up with places I love, like TSTR,
yes, it's been a while since my last OTP project, and you all know how I love those.  I decided to challenge myself with a palette I seldom use, one of oranges and yellows, by the ohhs and ahhhs of my DD after school I think I got it right....
you see the theme this week is  a "Shabby Fall Party"
here's the inspiration
you have to :
INCLUDE A BANNER, CUPCAKE/CAKE along with ORANGE/YELLOW

So in my festive little villa I have decorated the roof with the tiniest banner...

the cupcake was added to decorate the home for the party...
some gorgeous yellow roses already blooming in the garden

and the perfect way to create happy memories

come on in, the sun is shinning!

So that's it , welcome in!

You color my world Happy!

Hi everyone!
Beginning of the month brings so many cool challenges, it always makes me happy!
The new one at Scrap Around the World I felt particularly in looove, just one look at the mood board and sketch and you will know why!
Also Mou Saha has a new challenge over at Design Memory Craft, this time it's easy peasy, just show what you an art project that you are working on, so here it is!

As you can tell this is one of my FAVE photos and I just love the impact it has on pure color

So here's my take on both the sketch and the challenge

some closies

I did several watercolor hearts around my drips
and took inspiration from the bling on the photo to add a touch of it to every layer
There were different fonts on the inspiration board so I handwrote my title and finished it with a whitewashed Prima wooden word

now are you ready for the behind the scenes walk through?
The sketch had two semi circles, I used a sharpie over my mask to guide when I started applying my first layer

I kept one of the lines intact since I fell in love with the scalloped heart {part of the mood board}
and I knew it would help me when I did the title.

kinda hard to distinguish between the shades of white, but you can see the sketch's shape in there

my DD helped me pick the perfect palette as she is obsessed with the order of the rainbow...
check out this awesome pinterest challenge

oh how I loved these perfect drips, had a lot of fun doing this!
I hope you find inspiration in the mood board and work it to make it your own,
so happy you came by!

November

Happy November everyone!!!
November is our prompt today at Our Beautiful World and I bring you an almost Fall photograph from the river banks of Rio Camuy, Puerto Rico
This river runs from the mountains and through the famous Camuy Caverns
all the way out to the Atlantic Ocean.
The town built a boardwalk for you to enjoy walking along the river and enjoy nature
this guy was caught in the act while hunting for fish, we spotted him almost camouflaged with the grasses

can you see him there?

but that is as fallish as we can get here, look at all this luscious green coming out!

yep there's always a tree sprouting new leaves around this part of the world!

and what a pretty reflection of the tree canopy and the sky!

more leaf buds...

a side view of the boardwalk

Paseo Tablado is the Spanish term for Boardwalk, lesson 1

Thanks for visiting me, I hope you enjoyed my green November!
Hugs,

You make my heart sing

Hi everyone, it's reveal day over at CSI as case 96 opens for investigation!
This is how I solved my case
I used the color scheme complete and then for my evidence I used:
here's the fab case!!!
mesh, clock, typewriter font, rhinestones, sheet music (well in stamps)
gold metal in my inca gold hearts and  paint with my red gelato

sweet music stamp by Penny Black, I used rhinestones to highlight the wing of the butterfly

inca gold for my hearts sooo shiny!!!

I used a Prima wooden clock and treated it with black embossing powder

part of my journaling is near the scrolls on the photo and the rest is on the back

I have written a story about our favorite room in Grandma's house!
Now go make some time to play!!!

and as always so happy you are here!!!

Hey Cool Kid, LO for Scrapfriends, AU

Smile for the camera!
There is a brand new sketch over at scrapfriends this month.  Usually I can't wait for this day to come as I looove their sketches.  They design the most amazing sketches and they inspire me to try new things on the way.  This month it's a wee bit different since I got to be a guest designer!!!!!
I was so thrilled to see it firsthand and work with it!
I hope my take on the sketch inspires you to try a twist of your own
So here are the closes
my nephew Lucas who just got back from being in the hospital almost two weeks.
Thanks God he is OK
I painted some wooden Prima feathers inspired by the cool sketch

I used some gesso and modeling paste and then decided it was a good idea to sew over it all...

I worked with some vellum embellies by Pink Paislee and loved the effect

here's the fab sketch
Beautiful to the last inch!
Now go make up some time to play and enjoy your November!!!

Halloween

Is just around the corner!!!!! I truly can't wait!!!  Halloween is our prompt for you this week at Our Beautiful World.  Yes I put decorations out for the whole month to enjoy, but the actual day, well we go all out, fog machine, cauldron with candy, cauldron with "smoke", eerie music, it's just too much fun.
To me it's also a time to enjoy with my kids, we dress up, sometimes I am the seamstress in charge of all the special requested costumes, sometimes we just buy them, this past year this is what we did
the little Miss and I baked some cake pops and lfet them ready for the kids to decorate

ain't she the sweetest candy corn, I could eat her up!

these were yummy!

check out this cool dude to greet you home

of course that is until he moved and freaked out the kids that though he was for show!
ahhh the bliss of having a creative teenager in da house!
helping light up the night

posing for the show

even dad wears orange, his fave color

before going out

with one adorable avenger to protect us on our candy hunt

and them for show

and all dressed up

and even though it was a school night, our crowd was small leaving the house, we only do this on the 31st!

So how is your Halloween, can't wait for your share!!!!
