Make a Splash!

I inherited my husband's Great Aunts sewing basket.  They all figured I was the one who could appreciate it.  Imagine my surprise and delight as I browsed through old wooden spools of thread, yummy buttons and all of a sudden this special Mother of Pearl belt buckle, wow, such a treat...Betsy Veldman is doing a Vintage Findings challenge at her blog you have to go see all the yumminess, I can't wait to try my hand on the patter paper flower!  I think this card cased Clare Buswell Fruity Strawberry in its color palette over at the The Shabby Tearoom
Here is Miss M enjoying an afternoon at the beach this past Sunday, so much fun!

10-10-10

To some of you, October is the begining of cool weather, change of colors and pumpkins, to some of us, the weather remains the same.  Blessed that no hurricaines have harm our islands this season and blessed for the constant rains that marks this time of the year that translates into lushious flowers.  These were snapped this morning with my camera on my garden, enjoy!

A wee bit of craftiness, never harms the soul...
 enjoying the afternoon sun

Halloween Cutie

You all know that I am a Halloween kinda girl and this Halloween Cutie stole my heart.  October is one of my faves, second to Christmas I could spend the whole year in this holiday.  Bring out the cobwebs, the witches and of course the candycorn!!!
This one was created for Laura her sketch is fab and the vintage Halloween theme at TSTR!  I went ahead and created some Chritmas goodness too with it because I could not resist it.

Using the sketch I made a miniature version to decorate a transparent pillow box
Then I made a transparent card
And on the inside I used Stacey's sketch! I was so afraid while I was embossing this Angel, I had never attempeted to heat emboss a transparency before.  I was so happy with the result I will try it again.
Here is the card from the back!

This wall plaque was made to accompany the card, Cheryl at CCCB is celebrating the holidays and this one is my entry for her challenge.
This is the whole set!  Hope you feel like creating and come visit again!

Thank You

Continuing with my Thank you challenge I was inspires by the colors of this week's challenge at the Playdate Cafe
Who would have thought that color combo was going to be so great!  The challenge is to use hot Pink ( I hand dyed my seam binding with Maya Road's Mist), turquoise
( I used
Harmonie's gorgeous, beaded ribbon) rust and brown ( I used Making Memories X'Mas collection) and then some recycled Prima packaging to accentuate the colors and message.  And some new Martha
Stewart lace (punched for good measure)

Here's the last one using more MS punches, so in looove with the doily one!
