Pirates of the Caribbean

Happy Sunday everyone, we have a new prompt this week by Ros, one I had to go to the dictionary to find a proper definition...

der·e·lict

  [der-uh-likt]
adjective
1.
left or deserted, as by the owner or guardian; abandoned: a derelict ship.
2.
neglectful of duty; delinquent; negligent.
noun
3.
a person abandoned by society, especially a person without a permanent home and means ofsupport; vagrant; bum.
4.
Nautical a vessel abandoned in open water by its crew without any hope or intention of returning.
5.
personal property abandoned or thrown away by the owner.
6.
one guilty of neglect of duty.
7.
Law. land left dry by a change of the water line.

After my proper instruction in English this is my take, oh you are going to love this!!!!
As you know I live in the Caribbean and what goes better with sea than pirates?
Yep your heard me right.  The filming crew of the smashing movies"Pirates of the Caribbean" have been filming here again and I got to meet one of their ships in the flesh, err the wood, err the derelict wood...
ready for canons to fire away!!!

the perilous stairs to climb aboard

the crossbones inside

I have to admit this dude is one scary and MASSIVE thing...

more from deck

For a fan of the movie like me this was an amazing adventure, the only thing I missed was meeting Jack Sparrow...
Hope you enjoyed seeing the ship up close with me!

Very cool that you got to see it up close and personal.. Great photos my friend..

Love the definition at the start of your post! And the pictures, too, of course! It must have been hugely interesting to get such a close-up look at everything...
