Is our new prompt for the week at OBW.
Seeing what wonder means to you all out there was awesome, thanks so much for sharing it with us!
Now this week it's my turn at the prompt and I was inspired because it was my DH's birthday last Sunday.
We all have birthdays, after all it is the celebration of the day we were born, or the celebration of a loved ones birthday.  It can be relatives, it can be friends, some way or another there is a clebration going on.  Share with us if you keep them in calendars, if you follow them on FB, do you scrap them on a special birthday calendar, we want to see it all.  Do you bake cakes, do you go out for dinner, do you run a marathon like my husband did last Sunday.
I love to bake cakes, coconut is one of my faves , I love to bake me a special cake too!!!
I did a chocolate one with raspberry buttercream for a special friend this June and a coconut two of my BFF's for their birthdays.
My husband asked me for a rice krispies treat cake!!!!

I also bkaed him a passion fruit merengue pie, home made tart of course

this is the cocounut cake I made and my BFF's at my studio
all this cake is making me hungry...
I want to see what you do for your birthdays at our beautiful world come share!!!

wow~!!~you are clearly an accomplished cook and yes, i think i'm wanting some cake too. lol

one of the things that we traditionally do for birthdays is a special dinner. the birthday person gets to choose either a homemade menu or a favorite restaurant.
wonderful daughter turns a year older this coming monday and we will be traveling a couple of hours to see her and take her out to sushi (one of her favorite meals).
we generally give a gift on birthdays but i think that we all really like the shared dinner the most.

thanks for a great topic for this week. i shared a photo card that i made. it could be for a birthday or it could be for any day. ;-)

OMG, another beautiful cake here to drool over. My cakes look nothing like this or Kristy's. It was my birthday on the 18th, was so excited that this was the prompt for this week. I just did a whole post about my birthday, cake and all.
Thanks so much for the perfectly timed and fun prompt for this week.
Happy Birthday to your husband and WAY TO GO ON THE MARATHON!!
