Wonder

is our prompt word this week at Our Beautiful World I wonder what my good friend Shahrul is up to? She always does the most inspiring posts...
Well her prompt made me think about these trees that grow in my mom's gardens.
They have a canopy that kind of hugs her driveway and give the most awesome shade
they are also her natural orchid greenhouse and to top it all they are a hummingbird magnet.
I don't know the name of the tree but I love the flower buds so much...
I took this photo using a macro lens, they are so intriguing I wonder how they fit inside the bud and how they unruffle to produce a perfect fan when opened.
can you spot the bird in the middle, she is also attratcted to these sweet blooms

feeding time

you can see them open in the early morning and the late afternoon

Yes I had to own one of those trees, they remind me of my childhood, my mom and they provide food to many happy visitors in my garden every day!

Thanks for stopping by I can't wait to see what the word means to you in your part of the world, don't be shy and share !!!

Hummingbirds in your garden.... I'm soooo jealous!!! What a beautiful tree this is, both in the beauty itself as in all the features like the blossom buds and the attracting of the hummingbirds.
Amazing macro shot Milagros!
I see you all have such wonder-ful photos and stories... I have to re-do mine, I had a little bit of trouble coming up with something this week :)

Hugs! xx Wendy

GORGEOUS!!. This is another of my favorite plant too, I saw it at the park and they have the most delicate needle-looking blooms. You took amazing shots at the bud, what a wonder. It looks so good for a salad too :). And the hummingbirds?? WOWWW. You have a lovely friends there. One time, a chatty little starling made a stop at my windowsil garden and SING. All my cats went totally crazy for a minute, with whiskers twitching and all, LOL. Hugs.

What beautiful blooms! They remind me of fans. Great job of getting photos of humming birds. They are so fast and never seem to sit still more than a fleeting second. Thanks for sharing a bit from your part of the world with us.
