I find such beauty in waterlilies and totally  get Claude Monet and his amazing paintings

they hold a fascination to me and to think that depending on what you plant in your pond you can enjoy them 24/7....

CSI 116 Amazing

Hi everyone, a new case is out for you at CSI, wonderful inspiration for you if you are a fan of silhouettes or music.  To me it was the perfect chance to scrap this pics of my son, playing his guitars, and of course the perfect opportunity to use my new Prima stencil.. 

I love the effect of white on white, it gives such a cool dimension

I brake for Rainbows

Do you? Hi everyone! It's my time to host this week at Our Beautiful World and I have chosen the word rainbow.  This past month we had a long rainy season and we had them all around us.  They are magnificent and remind me of my big wonder as a child.  One time I was helping mom with the water house outside when suddenly I made one, I was in awe!!! They hold magic to my eyes and you can see me going to the side of the road to catch them!

as you can see I was on the road, luckily as a passenger as we had so many opportunities to photograph!

and lastly this one was taken by my BFF Myriam Reus at El Morro in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico

pps here we are colorful as the rainbow with this awesome fan my friend Ana Maria brought me from Spain

and the rainbow chains my DD made me for the store, she even hung them!

she is OCD and organizes my cardstock in the order of the rainbow, LOL!!!

Beautiful Songs

Hi everyone hope you had the luck of the Irish yesterday!!!

As you may know Scrapfriends is now Kreative Koncepts and you know they do 2 challenges, sketch and color so here's my take on their palette # 23

I used a lot of gold, embossed glitter gold and then fuzzy cut on my sea elements,

some gold die cuts by Crate Paper and some inka gold over my background

a lot of Maya Road goodies to feast the eye

OBW Green

Our word this week was chosen by Ros and it's Green 

Here in the island it's easy peasy for me as we are surrounded by green everywhere we go

from the grass all the way to the mountains we see green 365 days a year!

these grow in the pond, with some fun inhabitants

this one grows in my front yard, the smell is so sweet at night!

here's a peek of my front yard, thank goodness for some blooms otherwise green is all we see...

the bushes behind have green leaves when they mature but when they first appear they are maroon, very interesting to see and to add color in the garden.  It is indigenous to the island and bears fruit,, but also makes for an awesome hedge!

New CSI file open #114 @2

Hi everyone we have a fabulous new case for you to solve this week at CSI

it involves some math, mind you, it's all about Pi this week and Debbi has a knack for the coolest names around

Imagine yourself having to work with Cheery Pi, Cocounut Pi, Key Lime Pi, Lemon Meringue Pi (My personal favorite) and Shoefly Pi!!!!!

As you know my nephew is a constant subject in my LO's I just wished he lived closer to me...I love him dearly and as it seems so does my lens.  This was one of those perfect moment with perfect light, the color version is equally beautiful but it didn't fit my color scheme so I made it B&W, still it is my favorite way to scrap,,,

I have used BoBunny's Lil'Monster to do this, so fun!

I wrote my journaling as a dialog, in it I"m asking questions to my nephew Lucas

For my evidence I used number, speech bubbles and symbols

I followed the sketch pretty close and the color scheme is all there, what a fun case!

I can Be Strong

Hey everyone how's your week coming along? Have you been listening to the radio lately, it seems the song Happy seems to be on the radio every time I take a drive, puts me in a happy mood for sure, maybe even clapping along while I drive...

Anywhoo it's early March and I thought I'd work with the mood board of Scrap Around the World

sumptuous pinks...

I never take selfies, they seem to be kinda selfish if you know what I mean

but I was taking on Skype with my kids and decided to take one.  Then I bought this cool app by Ronda for my tablet and I played with it and here's the result

a very cool frame with some very encouraging words...

I also used it with my kids

see the cool frames, carte postale and the Sooo loving this!!!?

I had a lot of fun layering, using the stripes in the mood board as my photo background

and in other pink touches

I also saw some metal in the paint brush of the photo so I went with some gold vellum

there was also wet medium in the inspiration so I worked with some yummy paste

I also used my sewing machine to add a few layers of pink tulle as inspired by the dress in the photo

Road, OBW

Road is Wendy's chosen word for Our Beautiful World on this perfect Sunday!

I have missed you guys!!!!

Makes me want to take the keys and hop on to my car and just drive by...

This open road leads to the forest walls of El Yunque on the mountainside of Naguabo

 in Eastern Puerto Rico.  Up there in the mountains there is always rain that's why it is eternally covered in mist and fog.  Those beautiful oak trees framing the road will be blooming in pink pretty soon!

Did you know bamboo grows here like it would in China, so so big, while the island was beginning the agriculture boom they were planted in many farms near the riverbanks to hold the soil in place.  They have grown into massive forests and I love the way they sound while the wind beats them, they creak and sway with it!
