I know it's been a while since I played or blogged for that matter...well I visited OAUS and saw the challenge. A challenge about friendship and although I do have friends beggining with my mom I also have a daughter I do hope she grows up to be my friend. True there are times I will always be the mom, but I know I will be for her the way no other friend will be. I do hope I am teaching her she can count on me, to see the little things, to stop and smell the flowers and that is what I have worked here my hopes for this friendship to ring through. You can see the journaling in the swirls and the tag.
the sketch and the way I worked it, I also used CSI's case file to create the details around the page!
childlike elements the little rocking horse, part of hers and mine childhood, she got to use my own
Sprinkles, in the form of glitter scattered around the page
you can also see some textural images there of the gesso background
4 patterns, polka dots, stripes, flowers and gingham
journaling on the swirls
Thanks so much for your lovely comments as always

Love this picture of Mercedes...she has adorable dimples :) I see that you combined OUAS and CSI to come up with this awesome page. The rocking horse is adorable and I love the sentiment behind it!
What a beautiful heartwarming page! Love how you showcased your daughter with the hope of being her friend as she grows up in addition to being her mom. I think you're on the right path--no worries. My mom did the same with me and now she IS one of my best friends! Great interpretation of the sketch & challenge. Thanks for playing along with us at OUAS!
Oh gosh all those lovely layers are just so beautiful thanks for playing along at ouas .
